A very satisfying end to the Five Kingdoms series. The final battle with Ramarro was a surprise. The different kingdoms were well developed and each was unique. The characters, live and echoes, were well constructed. The story line flowed making it just as enjoyable as the Fablehaven series. I do enjoy reading Brandon Mull’s books.
After a years delay for this book, its hard to believe the series is coming to an end. Brandon Mull has written some great books such as the Fablehaven series, but this one has a special blend to it.

Good wrap up to the series, I would skip the epilogue though - felt like a let down in it.
Great conclusion to the Five Kingdoms series. It left me wanting more and had a very bittersweet ending. Brandon Mull, you need to write a sequel series to this!
This was a good solid finish to the series. I don’t reread when the next book comes out, so I’m sure I didn’t catch as much as someone who takes the time to refresh. It might have been because of that that the first third wasn’t as interesting to me. Or because I only read short chunks at a time until I was captive on a long flight. It got better after that. :)
