“This is what you really want?”
“How many times do I have to say yes?”
“The only regret I have is that you’re still standing here talking when we could be heating up the sheets.”
“Hell, woman. I might be a lot of things, but I ain’t stupid.” Then he bent, scooped her into his arms and carried her to bed.

Love with a Perfect Cowboy by Lori Wilde
Have enjoyed the other books in this series and knew I'd love this one.
What I really like about this series/book is the new words I learn. I am continually jumping up to go to my pc and load up the dictionary to find out what the words mean.
I also do not want a book with 3/4 of it is back story. This book is all brand new things with just a touch of the older things that occurred.

My favorite of the series so far...
Cupid, Texas gets a Letters to Juliet twist in Love with a Perfect Cowboy, and it was very nicely done. It's the ultimate "lovers with a past" story, with a family feud tossed in for good measure.
The feud began back in the prequel novella(One True Love) when John Fant left Elizabeth Nielson at the altar to marry Millie Greenwood, and it's all coming to a head ninety years later in the final book of the series with Millie's great-granddaughter Melody and Luke N ...more
This was the fourth book in this series. I loved that there were updates from the previous 3 books. I loved Melody and Luke's story. It was a great tale about how young love finding a happily ever after years later. The whole mystique with Cupid is the feud between families and how modern day women find their happily ever afters in spite of it. It was a fantastic book with a great ending. I loved the way the whole story came together.
Lori Wilde saved the best for last. Luke Nielson and Melody Spencer were driven apart by the Feud when they were teens, but the draught in Cupid, Texas will bring they back together. Luke is Mayor and needs help to save the tourist trade. Melody is an Ad exective. Luke goes to NYC to see it Melody will help save Cupid, but he may get the chance to save Melody. Love this story about Cupid. If youhave not read this series give it a try, you will be glad.
Thanks Lori Wilde and Good Writing

Love With a Perfect Cowboy drew me in from the first. I love the fact that there was a common problem throughout the entire story. Normally, love stories deal with just love, but the fact that this one managed to encompass the entire town as well as the Melody and Luke with the draught - just captured my attention and held it. I laughed out loud at the bachelor auction as well as cried after the Sadies Hawkins dance. This story just spoke to me. I could read it over and over and enjoy it each an ...more
Love that they never really got over their feelings from yrs before. A family feud kept them apart then but these two do not let that stop them this time around. Love conquers all and not just for the lovebirds but for the entire town. By working together they save the town. Luke's father saving Melody & then Melody's mother saving Luke's father - what drama. Great characters and wonderful storyline. I received an advance copy of this book. I have not been compensated for this review.
I am sorry to see this series end but Love With A Perfect Cowboy brought closure, for me, to a fun and funky town in Texas. Melody and Luke were ***hot*** and generated plenty of sparks. They were an even match in the hard-headedness department, too, and you could just feel the sparks whenever they were together.
I loved how Melody thought Luke was a dish but truly enjoyed how Luke thought Melody must have been from heaven. It’s not often that the hero finds the heroine gorgeous and hot – it’s us ...more
