She walks in on her husband then gasps. Next thing she knows, she's
running for her life. This is a story that starts out with a bang and

Will Beth Baker and her kids outrun the senator? He has all the power and

Beth shows up at the home of a nice old man who hired her to be his estate
"She Can Run", by Melinda Leigh, is an entertaining, involving romantic suspense read. I enjoyed the "noir-ish" flavor and the humor "with bite". Fairly typical romantic suspense - damsel in distress, big, strong guy to save her (and the day), bad guy who is after the damsel (in this case, multiple bad guys), romantic plot between damsel and big, strong guy, and the suspense plot that intertwined with the romance. This book needed something to make it stand out from the hordes of other books in this genre and unfortunately, there wasn't anything that made this book special or different.

This is the first book I by Melinda Leigh. This book started good but after that the story didn't grab my interest. The storyline became boring & confusing to me that I stopped reading it at chapter 3.
4 stars - Romantic Suspense
Leaving this at 10% because of trigger. Not a big fan of psychopath who kidnaps random women for torture and killing....
