“I couldn’t see a single face behind the glaring stage lights, but still, some part of me pretended she could be out there, that I was singing to her. That she would hear her song and find her way back to me.”

It makes me feel all warm and fuzzy inside when I find myself still thinking about a book a whole week after first finishing it, and the more I think about this story, the more beauty I keep finding in every single memory of it. From its arresting opening line to the many jaw-dropping b ...more

“Never thought I’d find home again.”

There is just something about a book with the word whiskey in the title that does something for me. And in all honesty, that's the only reason I chose to read this book. I'm just thrilled that it was so good!

Fallon and Augusta have a past, a past that was over ten years ago and we get to know them in flashbacks. It's not my favorite way to get to know characters but I think it worked in this case.

I enjoyed getting to know their younger selves and ho

**I got an ARC to review from writer, my opinion however is my own.**

As promised my review of Whiskey Girl.

Where do I even start? First off all that Adriane is an amazing person with a gift for writing. Every book of her I read so far I liked. Some more then others, but they never let me down.

I knew that this story was different, and that she put heart and soul into this book. What I loved the most? Is that you can see how much she has grown as a writer, person and amazing human being.

‘And that was how I found myself fallin’ for Augusta Belle again. Slow and steady, one beat at a time, mostly to the sound of my music.’

This was our first experience reading an Adriane Leigh book and what a perfect place to start. Whiskey Girl was a raw, gritty, emotion-based, somewhat sombre second chance romance threaded with a country music theme about first-time love, second chances, regrets, heartbreak and a love that never ceased to burn despite everything that stood in its way.

Whiskey Girl was a wonderful second chance romance about a country singer and songwriter and his muse and soul mate that was tearing at my heart strings. It was touching and very sad at times but what kept me going was the hope that these characters are going to find their way back to each other again. Fallon and Augusta Belle didn't have it easy in life. They had each gone through many hardships and have been brought to their knees by fate too many times to count. The story is going back and fo ...more

I’d never known pain to exist outside of my body, but with Augusta Belle walking around in the world, it felt like an exposed nerve, my heart always on guard and vulnerable, ready to defend my love for her at any possible second.

Before the story starts off, Adriane Leigh prefaces it by stating that this is not like her erotica books that are jam-packed with steamy scenes. This is an angsty and heartbreaking story of two people whose love fac
